Sometimes an idea comes along that's so simple, it seems incredible to have been overlooked for so long. The new Haku Rope Bag is a beautiful solution to a longstanding challenge, offering an elegant way to organize and manage your climbing rope. A tarp and a bag in one, combined piece, it rolls into a compact and tidy shoulder carrier.

When folded out, the tarp provides protection from dirt and mud, and serves as a platform to organize gear. Tie-in loops inside the tarp secure the rope ends, making it easy to find the sharp end. To stow the rope, simply lift the corners and the rope falls into the bag. To secure the load, roll the top over, clip the buckles, and compress. Simple as that. To deploy the rope, just unfold the bag, spread the tarp, tie in, and you're good to go!

Haku is a Hawaiian word meaning "to braid" or "to invent", and Arc’teryx thinks that the new Haku Rope Bag is a great new twist on a classic idea, offering simple, functional, and elegant rope management. It's available in two colours (Yahto and Utility Green), and has been designed to integrate perfectly with the updated Miura climbing packs.
