Luca Nichetto's Hai Lounge Chair

Venetian designer Luca Nichetto began his career working for respected brands Salviati and Foscarini before launching his own design firm in 2006. A clutch of industry awards followed, as did a guest-of-honour spot at the imm Cologne festival. His Hai collection for Hem combines quality, class and ingenuity.
The Hai lounge chair marries Scandinavian lightness with Italian flair. Light metal legs are complemented by luxurious circular-knitted upholstery, giving a feeling of depth and warmth. Luca Nichetto has created a backrest that not only flexes to ensure maximum comfort and support for the lower back, but also collapses thanks to concealed hinges for ease of transportation.
