Myro Control has introduced Myro:Air that features Apple’s AirPlay technology, high-end audio output provided by Wolfson Microsystems flagship WM8741 DAC and is easily integrated into home automation systems like Crestron,
AMX or Control4. Now you can stream uncompressed music from iTunes or an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch connected to your home’s Wi-Fi network to Myro:Air that delivers high-quality audio and is easily controlled by home automation systems.
“Over the last few years we’ve been bridging the gap between proprietary systems with our Myro:Bridge platform. Today, we announced the pre-order of Myro:Air that will provide an easy way to offer AirPlay and 2-way transport control and metadata with home automation systems,” said Danny Mavromatis, founder of Myro Control. “We are seeing more and more people use their iPhone and iPad as their primary media playback device and use cloud-based services to manage their audio. Myro:Air with AirPlay allows one to easily stream audio while in the home from services like Pandora, Spotify, or iTunes Radio while being able to easily continue playing in the car without the need of sync’ing anything up. Just get in your car and continue right where you left off. It’s an elegant and seamless transition.”
Myro:Air isn't your ordinary AirPlay device. It's the first AirPlay receiver that includes Wolfson's venerable WM8741 DAC all in one package. Plug it into any audio system and begin streaming audio the way it was meant to be heard.
Control Myro:Air over RS-232. Custom integrators can now offer AirPlay with home automation and control systems. This provides an easy way to control playback remotely (play, pause, next track, previous track) as well as display metadata (album, artist, title, stream type, elapsed time). Built-in USB port on the back of every Myro:Air makes it easy to dock, charge or playback audio directly from an iPhone, iPad or iPod. Bypassing AirPlay entirely resulting in superior audio quality and maintaining an active charge while you play music.
