Created by the renowned furniture designer Yrjö Kukkapuro in 1964, Karuselli can be found in museums across the globe. The swiveling and rocking armchair is a classic piece of Finnish design culture. Finnish furniture designer Yrjö Kukkapuro (b. 1933) is a central figure of Finnish functionalism. Kukkapuro has been working as a freelance designer since the 1950s and much of the furniture he designed at the beginning of his career is still in production.
